Since becoming an agency for preserving and restoring natural ecology with the support from the Ministry of Environment in 2003, our botanical garden has been working every year on the projects of restoring and multiplying 10 protected species of plants, as well as other rare species, including Villebrunea frutestescens (Thunb.) Bl., Canavalia lineata (Thunb.) DC., and Stellera chamaejasme L. This particular garden also exhibits over 20 near-extinct wild plants as well as 30 rare and valued native plants, including Hepatica maxima (Nakai) Nakai and Thymus quinquecostatus var. japonica Hara, raising the public awareness of the importance of preserving and restoring these species.
